What are the best cars for MN winter?
I'm from Michigan, and I've owned and driven multiple vehicles throughout a lot of winters. The conclusion I've come to is that the vehicle itself matters very little in comparisson to how you drive it. You'll want either front, all, or 4 wheel drive, try to avoid rear wheel drive if possible. After that just make certain that you have good all season or winter rated tires, you're battery is good, and you're up on all maintenance. (spark plugs, wires, oil change, radiator hoses, air filter, etc) Also be sure to keep a snowbrush, shovel if you have room, and a good flashlight with you. A pair of jumper cables and a tow strap will also come in handy. Most important thing you can do thought is make sure you drive smart and leave early. Good luck.
