Question

If someone receives a sapena from the prosecuting office to be a witness for them, but don't want to be, are you still required to show up to court?

Answer

Ignoring a subpeona is grounds for a citation from the court, and possibly an arrest warrant. Do not ignore the subpeona.

Good luck
