what is the difference between prenuptial and postnuptial agreements?

Question

what is the difference between prenuptial and postnuptial agreements?

Answer

Prenuptial is before a couple gets married.

Postnuptial is after the couple is already married.

Answer

What Mr. Saltzman said is about it. Prenups, also called premarital agreements, are entered into before marriage. Postnuptial agreements are entered into after the parties are married. The laws regulating the two are also different.

Answer

In either case you should consult with an attorney before entering into such an agreement.
