On probation with restraining order against another. I as well have one on them. However we both spoke to one another several times while I was on probation. I am now off probation, can I get in trouble if the authorities find out I spoke to them while on probation, even though I am now off.
Answer
Yes. The violation occurred; you can't undo that.
Answer
Yes, you can be charged for violation of a restraining order if you violated the restraining order. There is a statute of limitations which means they have to file against you during that time frame. I have not researched if for your question, but based on memory I believe the statute of limitations on this type of offense is 18 months.
Answer
Yes. The willingness of one party to speak to the other does not make the restraining order go away. You will have to motion the Court which issued the orders, requesting that the orders be terminated.
