We rent through a company. They had 5 of us sign the lease. One person gave 30 days notice and signed the release form. She was the only one of 5 to sign the release form. She has refused to pay rent the last 3 months. The company says they can't force her to pay rent, then what was the point of signing a lease? What can we do?

Without having the lease in question in front of me it'd difficult to speculate but I suspect that the four of you are responsible for the full amount of the rent.
