Question

I live in a gated community of homes and my neighbor got a ticket for parking in his own driveway because his vehicle was parked across the part that the officer deemed as part of a sidewalk in a cul da sac. Is this legal as it is a private community owned neighborhood?

Answer

Probably not unless the community allowed an officer to write traffic citations on private property (the community). Even if the HOA allowed that, being in his own driveway might be a stretch. Your neighbor needs to get an attorney to fight this in court.
