It depends on what crime you were an accessory to the fact of. If, for example, it was murder, then the answer would be no. On the other hand, if it was a petit theft, then yes you should be eligible. Those crimes are extremes on both ends of the spectrum, so I think you get the idea. They can sign it and have it notarized at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate if they are U.S. Citizens or resident aliens, or it can be notarized, verified or authenticated, under the laws of the country they live in if they are nationals of that country. Alternatively they can just give you a written signed agency agreement, which would certainly empower you to find tenants, sign a lease for them, etc., but you might run into issues managing the property for them, if you have to deal with the government, banks, etc.

My grand daughter has been placed in the custody of the state since the last week of March 2014 for child abuse and neglect. CPS is only focusing on my son and his wife because they are young parents but there were three other people living in the house. My son has been told that the other three people are not being investigated. My question is why? They have no proof that my son or his wife did this. CPS only speaks with the mother's parents and not the child's parents. My son and his wife learn what is going on from her (the wife's) father. They call CPS and leave message for the case worker to call them and she doesn't return their calls, instead communicates with her (the wife's) father. thank you

Your son needs an attorney.

He needs to document everything that he is doing. He should keep a dairy of each phone call to CPS with the date, time and message left. What you state occurs often with CPS cases - the CPS case worker is overwhelmed with cases & does not return calls. He should also call the CPS supervisor and leave messages.

Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for an attorney. There are not many that handle CPS cases.

Is it doing to look bad against me in a judges eyes for keeping my daughter away from her dad? He threw her out (she was 11 at the time)over a year ago and NOW he is demanding to see her? She is so upset and scared and law enforcement and the school have all said don't send her to school or get her early. She is at home today because her grandmother is going to get her from the school. He has had NO contact with her in this year or asked to see her until now. She turned 12 in April of this year. I have filed a custody modification as of Monday to try for NO CONTACT. This man is mentally abusive and went to jail 5 yrs ago for domestic battery against me. PLEASE PLEASE help me. I sent a letter to my security company stating that I was paying the final installment on my 60 month contract. I have been contacted several times over the last two months about Vivint wanting me to renew my contract. I told them that I was not interested. Now as of 8/2/2012, they are saying that I owe them money. I told them my account terminated in June and that I had sent them my final payment on 5/24/2012. They told me I had to write a "HANDWRITTEN" letter to them, no where on the contract does it state this. I wrote the handwritten letter and a typed letter as well. Today, of course, they notify me that they will not cancel my account because it has been renewed for a year automatically. They say they never received my letter but they did receive my payment! I assume from your question there was a pending motion for spousal support filed by your ex that was dropped from calendar because your ex was late to court.
