Question

how long does a landlord have to return a security deposit in Ohio

Answer

Ohio Revised Code Section 5321.16 states that if a landlord gets written notice of the tenant's security deposit forwarding address prior to moving out, and wrongfully withholds any portion of the security deposit for more than 30 days from when the tenant moves out, then the landlord is liable for double damages and attorneys fees.
