Question

If the parent that does not have custody of the child is unable to pickup the child at his visitation time, and will be out of state, is there any issue with a designated adult (his wife of a few years) to pick up the children and spend dinner night together with the children's step siblings?

Answer

Nobody can answer this without seeing your court order.
