my boyfriend took my car without my knowledge or permission. He got in a fight and while trying to get away he ran over the guy he was fighting with and broke his leg. my boyfriend got 12 months in county jail. Now he is being sued. can they go after me or my insurance company? thank you

Yes. Under Michigan's owner's liability statute, the owner is liable for the driver's accident. Taking a car without permission is an exception, but like anything else this will need to be proved.
Do not lose sleep over this if you are insured. Your insurance company will defend you.
