Question

I was issued a Driving While Revoked citation 2 years ago and missed my court appearence. Recieved a Failure to Appear . $250 bond. I am now trying to take care of this matter. The officer who issued the citation has since been fired and has moved from Alaska to Utah. Can the state still pursue this case since the officer is no longer in the state?

Answer

First, you will need to pay the $250 bond. That never goes away.

Then, as far as the underlying driving while revoked citation goes, it is up to the state to decide whether to prosecute or not. If it decides to go ahead with it, the state can fly the officer up for the trial. Talk to the district attorney's office to find out.

Answer

By the way, If you would like me to negotiate this matter for you, let me know and we can discuss it further.
