Where does car get its power?

Where does car get its power?
The battery and the alternator. As you drive the alternator charges your battery. (This is for the initial start.)

The power to move the car along the road, comes from burning fossil fuels, such as petrol or diesel in most cars.
Electric cars get the power from a storage battery, or a fule cell, that converts chemical energy into electricity.

To get more power from a standard internal combustion engine, you need to inject larger quantities of fuel air mixture accurately mixed.
To do this you need bigger cylinders, larger valves, valves that open wider and ignition that ignites the fuel at precisely the right point, (done by computer these days).
