Question

I just moved into an apartment and am living with 3 other individuals. I have an individual lease and was randomly placed with the individuals who already lived in the apartment. The individuals frequently smoke marijuana and have numerous paraphernalia around the apartment. I do not smoke and don't want to be charged criminally for their marijuana use. I have not addressed the issue yet because i am looking for the best way to handle it. If they keep their paraphernalia in their rooms and out of the common areas that we share, Could i still be charged criminally. Or if it is in our common areas? thanks for your time.

Answer

You can be charged with any marijuana or paraphernalia found in an apartment you rent, or co rent.

Answer

Not only could you be charged, but you might be convicted. It ain't worth the risk. Get out, even if it costs you.
