i filed chapter 7 Feb of 2011. in aug of the same year I was rear-ended and I did report it to the trustee. The trustee approved the settlemnet so my question is if any money is left over do I get it? no creditors put any leins on it, their deadlines passed

Answer

This is what is known as a post-petition chose in action. It is not part of your bankruptcy estate and no creditor can get any of it. Indeed, the trustee cannot get any of it either.
