my apartment complex claims to have video surveillance by posting signs on the entrances, but come to find out after my vehicle was broken into and my tools were stolen they do not have cameras. Is there anything I can do about this?

My guess is that even if they claimed to have cameras, the lease agreement specifically states that there is no security at the complex. Having video footage would not have stopped the thefts, although it may have helped with prosecution.
